One of my favorite clients (she was the first!) and her beautiful family had a quick session when we visited Katy last week. The weather was awful! It felt like it was 120 degress with complete cloud cover. We had to rush just to get a few shots before the rain started. This family has been through so much over the past few weeks and months. I was determined to get some beautiful family portraits to celebrate Dad’s good news and good health! Enjoy!

Being a mother is, without a doubt, the most rewarding job on Earth. But with all the joys, we have to take the heartache too. Mamas don’t like letting their babies go, but it’s gotta happen eventually. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family. Mama wanted a few portraits of her boys before one of them left to join the military. She was emotional and teary-eyed during our shoot, not wanting to let her baby leave just two short days later. I know he’s ready to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy. *love and kisses, Mama*

Model Search Special:
$150 entrance fee includes a 60-minute model session and one image submitted to the national gallery.
Finalists will be determined by online votes. Each vote is $1 (no limit on the amount of votes you can cast), and all proceeds from votes benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS.org).
Grand prize international winner will be determined from the 52 city finalists. The winners will be selected from the finalist gallery by photography and modeling industry experts. The winning family also receives a session with the renowned portrait artist Sandy Puc’ and international recognition.

It was COLD the morning we shot these! We had planned to be outdoors, in a beautiful urban setting, but the weather brought us indoors. I was happy to finally be able to get some family Christmas portraits that included the family Christmas tree!

December 5, 2009I had SO much fun with this family! We played, ran, saw a turtle in the swamp, chased squirrels and rode a tractor. It was a really a great afternoon! Unfortunately, Big Sister got a splinter not long after we started, so she was feeling a little blue for a while. Luckily, her mom and dad are experts at cheering her up, so we got a couple of good smiles out of her, despite her best efforts to hide them!
I took some portrait of these BEAUTIFUL little girls this summer. I was so happy that Mom called to schedule a family session for the holidays! These sisters are so much fun and as sweet as can be. And their parents are pretty cool too…
