I’m so proud of my baby sister! She graduated from LSU in May (Graphic Design.) She is an incredibly talented artist and I can’t wait to see where her career takes her. Here she is with her pup, Roxy.

Here are a few shots of my little sister before the arrival of my precious nephew. These were burried under a pile of boxes, so I’m a little late in getting to them!

While shooting the “Mama’s Boys” session, we snuck in a few shots of the two lovebirds…

“I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
‘I served in the United States Navy’”
-John F. Kennedy (JFK)
Being a mother is, without a doubt, the most rewarding job on Earth. But with all the joys, we have to take the heartache too. Mamas don’t like letting their babies go, but it’s gotta happen eventually. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family. Mama wanted a few portraits of her boys before one of them left to join the military. She was emotional and teary-eyed during our shoot, not wanting to let her baby leave just two short days later. I know he’s ready to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy. *love and kisses, Mama*

“Sometimes,” said Pooh, “the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
Two weeks ago, my little sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Colt Nicholas. Here he is, at 8 days old, sweet, cuddly and absolutely perfect! Congratulations, Laci and Jake! xoxo

Here’s a little peek at a Senior mini-session from last week. Mallory, an aspiring photographer, is the first from the Senior Class of 2011 that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing!

Here’s another peek at Aerin’s senior shoot from last week. Even without the tutu and point shoes, she was a total rock-star for the camera!

A dancer dedicates her life to her art. The dedication is obvious when you meet someone like Aerin. This incredible girl has been dancing since she was two years old! I was in awe of her grace and form as she danced for our photo shoot. I love that the session took place in the studio where she has spent hours dancing (and teaching little dancers.) The light was just beautiful and and her energy and enthusiasm were incredible! Aerin, I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed our session!

These two handsome fellas tromped through the flowers and explored an old, abandoned Acadian-style house with me. The were incredibly polite and such sweethearts! Here’s a peek at our session.
